ANOTHER RAINY WEEK GOES BY!

House bound again because of the rain so both baby and Mommy have cabin fever.   We need to get out.   Sunday bought some hope of sun finally!!

This week we had visitors and did manage to use the deck a little.  I tried to take Lily to the daycare at the gym to see how she would handle it and I only made it 15 minutes into my workout before the staff came to get me.  She was fine when I left and even blew me kisses as I was leaving but once she realized I was gone that was it.  There was no calming her down.  Guess we'll have to work on that or else we're going to have a very hard time in September.  We'll try it again this week and see how it goes.  Fingers crossed it goes better.

Let's hope the sunny and hot weather they are predicting for this week happens.  We have a new sprinkler that we are dying to try out.  Have a great week.
                                                                   Learning a new skill!
                                                                 This is hard work!!

The neighbors gave us their slide.  Whee!!!!!
Hey Mom!  Where did these flowers come from??

Our snowball tree decided to bloom this weekend.
Isn't it beautiful?

VICTORIA DAY WEEKEND!

Nothing major to report.  We spent the week and weekend working on the gardens when the weather was nice and playing inside when it rained.
We went for lunch with Nai Nai and then to friends for a BBQ on Sunday and enjoyed the surprise sunshine.  We looked for rabbits (or hop hops as Lily would say) and she chased the poor cat for ages.
We also went to Downey Farms and saw all the farm animals and enjoyed a picnic in the lawn.
Today won't be so enjoyable however, Lily has an appointment at the doctor's and she will have to get a few more shots so I anticipate a stressful afternoon.  I'm also anxious to see what her new measurments are.  According to my chart (and some of her clothes) she's grown at least an inch since we've been home.
Enjoy your day and week.  Take care everyone.
Weekend pictures of our hanging out.
Off to lunch with Nai Nai!

WILL THIS RAIN EVER END!

We are so tired of this rain.  Lily keeps going to the patio door and asking to go outside but have you ever tried to tell an 18 month old she can't because it's raining?  They don't get it.

We did go to a playgroup this week and determined that we need to learn to share and not take toys away from others so we've been working on that at home too so Lily now knows how to say "share" and "sorry".  She's also saying "store" and the best one yet, "shoes".   (Wonder where she learned that one.)   I guess this week the letter "S" is the focus.

We also had a special dinner for Aunt Donna to celebrate her birthday.  We had a lovely visit.

Wishing for the sun to finally come and stay.  Enjoy this week's pics.

Maman bought me a new water/sandbox toy.  Just wish
the weather would cooperate so I could use it more!
PS.  I love the water side much more than the sand one.
We're making a cake for Aunt Donna's dinner!
                                                             The cake was yummy!!!

Mother's Day

I hope all the Moms all had a wonderful Mother's Day.

My first one was fabulous.  I sometimes still need to pinch myself that I'm a Mom but when a little smiling face wakes you up in the morning it makes it all too real and it's a great feeling.    My wonderful family and friends went overboard to make it a great day for me.  It was filled with flowers, cards, presents and a wonderful meal and visits with friends.  What else could I have asked for.    I feel very blessed and am extremely thankful for everyone in my life.

Other than that we went to the zoo this week and played and played outside whenever we could.  It looks like we're going to be able to do that alot this week.  Finally!

Here are this week's pics.  Since the Royal Wedding, Lily's trying different hats as you will see.  Have a good week everyone.  Love ya!

I think I'll wear this one when I cook!!

And we're off to the zoo!

We like the zoo!

Yo Maman!! I'm down with that!

I think this one is my favorite! (PS It's Maman's too)

Watch out David Beckam!  Lily's pretty good with a ball!

and this one just to remind everyone how cute I am!

ROYAL WEDDING WEEKEND!

Well, Lily decided that she wanted to get up to watch the Royal Wedding so up and at it we were at 5:30 am.   Maman was planning to start watching more around 6:30 ish but who's to argue with my Princess!  It was a lovely event and of course we had to dress up a little so here are some of our pics.

One must wear a hat to a Royal Wedding.  Thank
goodness I found one that matches my PJ's!!

Now I'm ready for the party!!!

I think I drank too much milk!  I feel woozie!!

The rest of the weekend was spent recovering from the festivities and since the weather was so nice on Saturday, we did some gardening.  Other than that, we just hung out at home.  After last weekend up north, we needed some down time.   Sorry we didn't make it on Sunday Nai Nai but we were just too cranky.  We'll reschedule soon.

                                                              Okay Mom! I'm ready!!
This is hard work.  I'm glad I have all the equipment.
My reward for hard work, an ear of corn.  Yummy!
Have a good week everyone.  Get out and vote tomorrow and do something fun.  We will!
