Flights are booked and I didn't take the cancellation insurance!!

We leave February 17, 2011.  My good friend Donna is coming with me and we can't wait.  We'll spend a few days sightseeing and getting used to the new time zone (hopefully) and then its Gotcha Day on February 21.  That's the day I meet Lily!!  Ironically, Feb 21 is Family Day in Ontario.  What better way to celebrate it than becoming a family.  How cool is that.  I'll post more on our itinerary as it gets confirmed. 
Lots to do until then.  Got to go!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I know 2011 is going to be a great year.  How can it not be.  I get to go meet my dear daughter.  I haven't stopped thinking about Lily since I've received the news.  I signed all of the acceptance papers and sent a care package thru an organization called Red Thread.  I am hoping once they deliver it, they might be able to send me some updated pictures of Lily.   In the package I included some family pictures and hopefully her caretakers at the orphanage will show them to her so she can at least recognize me a little bit when I meet her.   Ann at Red Thread has been awesome to deal with.    Hopefully I will get travel dates soon.
