EASTER WEEKEND!

The weekend started on a rough ride with nasty weather all the way up north.  What was suppose to be a 8 hour drive turned into a twelve hour drive but we survived without any major meltdowns so that was good.  The return ride was just as bad with rain rather than snow but a visit with the Chartrand family helped us reduce the stress.  Thanks Pauline and Laurier for the last minute visit.  We really appreciated it.

The weekend was fabulous but the weather was interesting.  One day it was gorgeous and we were out in t-shirts and the next day it's snowing and they are closing the highways.  Oh the north, is such an interesting place to visit and they wonder why I don't live there any more.

Lily met her two cousins for the first time and it was love at first sight for all of them.  Who would have ever imagined two teenage boys being so good with a little one.  It was wonderful to see them together.  They tought Lily to play golf, go on the slide, use a skateboard and even ride a wheel barrow.  She had a blast and slept like a baby!!! at night.

We also met Tante Helene for the first time and she tought Lily how to play peek a boo with her hands.  Now all we have to teach Lily is not to play this game when she's walking.  Ouch!

The Easter Bunny also found us in Timmins but we seem to be more interested in spilling all of the eggs out of the basket rather than checking to see what they contained.  That's okay, there will be plenty more Easters to figure that all out.

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter too.  Here are this week's pics of our fun up north!

                                                                       Whee!!!!!!!

Do you think I should use this club or do I need a driver?
She doesn't know yet that Maman isn't the best person to give golf pointers!
Theo teaching Lily to skateboard!!! Hold on tight!
Now this is the way to travel!  Faster Phillip!
Hey!  That egg moves!!  Where are the M&M's!

Quiet Week!

This was a quiet week for the most part.  On the warmer days we played outside and practiced our walking and on the colder ones, we chilled, well really kept warm inside and played with our toys.

We did make a trek to Orangeville to visit the Cleveland Family.  We also went to Maman's office and visited with everyone.  What was suppose to be a quick visit turned out to be a 4 hour affair with a lovely lunch in between.  It was nice seeing everyone and catching up and also gave us an excuse to dress up a little.  That doesn't happen often these days.

This week is going to be busy.  We are venturing for the big long drive to Timmins on Wednesday.    Maman is dreading it since Lily doesn't do well being in the car seat for very long but we will set out on the adventure and just deal with the issues as they arise.  Hopefully the boring ride will make Lily drowsy and she'll sleep all the way.  (Don't worry, I'm not banking on it, just wishing it!)   The only thing that will get us through the ride is knowing that Lily will finally meet her cousins Phillip and Theodore.  She can't wait.  Of course seeing Grandpapa, MonOncle and Tante again is also a bonus.

Happy Easter Everyone!  Hope the Easter Bunny brings you lots of treats.  I know he'll be visiting us in Timmins.

This week's pics.  Enjoy!
A typical morning at home!!  Always smiling!
Can someone please tell Maman I don't need another job!
Yeah! The new Harry Potter movie is available!
Just chilling in my chair, reading a book before bedtime.

AND WE'RE OFF

It's official, we are finally walking!!  Maman is in trouble now.
We decided to buy some new more solid shoes and that made the difference.  Once they were on, she was on the go!  Next challenge "Stairs".

We also went for a swim at the local community centre this week.  We love our bath but aren't too sure about the pool.  It's so much bigger so in there we pretty much cling to Maman.  We're going to try going again this week and see how it goes.

The weather is finally warmer so we've spent alot of time outside walking on the sidewalk on our street and playing in the back yard with our outside toys.  We love pulling out the grass too.  I need to teach her the difference between grass and weeds and then we're good for the summer.

We also went to our first party this weekend.  Ann and Markus are off to Beijing for three years so we went to their little send off soiree.  Of course this was the perfect opportunity for us to get dressed up.  We looked really cute in our dress.

Here are this weeks pics.  We seem to have a purple theme.  I wonder why??

Future Olympian perhaps!! We practicing waving to our fans!

On the go and ready to shop!!!
Just cute!!
Have a great week everyone and a special birthday wish to Aunt Denise today.  Hugs and kisses.

Home a Month!!

We've been home a whole month.  I can't believe it and it's totally amazing how much progress Lily has made in such a short time.  She's saying a few words and is much braver these last few days and taking more and more steps.  I just can't imagine what I'll do when she's walking.  I'm having a hard time keeping up with her now!!!

We had another busy week and lots of visitors.  Zia Pia and Aunty Hermana came by and brought a beautiful chair for Lily to read and chill in.  As you can see from the pics she's quite comfortable in it and loves climbing in and out of it.   She loves her new chair.

Tante Sylvie also came for a visit and we spent lots of time bonding and going for walks.  Aunt Kathy also happened to be in town from Vancouver and made a special trip to come meet her "Goddaughter".  Maman was also really happy to see her and Lily loves the soft bunny she brought.

The weekend ended with the gang (Aunt Donna, Uncle Tom and Uncle Steve) coming to visit and they brought presents and dinner.  They even did all the dishes.   It was delicious and no dishes to do was even better.

With all these visitors Lily is starting to think that there needs to be someone playing with her all the time so we need to spend a little time over the next week having some Mommy and Lily time so she can get back to the routine.

Here are some pics to keep you updated for the week.
